Birthday Blessings
Thank you for all of your kind birthday wishes! You warm my heart.
On June 16th, my best friend and I went to see my guru, Amma. Amma is a spiritual leader, humanitarian, and saint. At the stroke of midnight my best friend turned to me and wished me a happy birthday. We received our darshan (hug) together at 2am. The perfect way to begin my new year!
My birthday surprises included: a trip to the spa for some stress melting treatments, a delicious lunch, ice cream cake, a hilarious rendition of “Happy Birthday” sung by my nephew, a hand painted t-shirt designed for me by Mark Gray, many thoughtful gifts and calls, a day at the Getty Villa, and a lovely dinner overlooking half of LA.
I was having so much fun, I almost lost a modeling gig. During my massage, my agent and left an urgent message. A client wanted to put me on hold, but they had to hear from me within the hour…or the job would evaporate. Geez. This business is so unnecessarily dramatic. With a bit of scrambling on my part, I salvaged the job. Even better, my best friend booked the job as well! We get to travel and work together. What a great birthday gift! Must have been that simultaneous hug from a saint! 
A few blogs ago, I mentioned that I had 2 amazing mentors and joked that a third should be on his way. Well, as of last week, I have a third mentor! He really gets my vision and has already made some amazing contributions to my endeavor. I am full of gratitude as I go with my flow.
