Home Sweet Home

Hey There!
The SF modeling gig was great! I love multi tasking, so it was great to have a work/play trip all rolled into one. I finally saw my Verizon billboards at LAX and SFO upon takeoff and landing. Kinda trippy to see after you’ve just woken up.

As a Bay Area native, I never bothered to visit San Francisco’s tourist attractions. I really enjoyed walking everywhere, especially across the Golden Gate Bridge. When you are downtown in cities like New York and SF, you are confronted with all types of distress. My perspective would shift every time I was invited to interact with addiction, poverty, and illness as I walked across the city. In Los Angeles it’s easy to hide in your suburb and never see such grim reality.

My visit to the Conservatory of flowers in Golden Gate Park was one of the highlights of my trip. As you can see from the picture I’ve attached, the butterfly exhibit had me mesmerized. Don’t they look like flying zebras? These graceful creatures would fly around and land on people. I was in heaven photographing all of the exotic butterflies and plants up close.

I had the privilege of visiting my high school friend’s grandfather again. It was so good to see him. Afterwards, I enjoyed a famous Bi-rite ice cream cone http://biritecreamery.com/menu.html with my high school friend’s precious baby Jake. Mmmm. My friend’s parents (my Godparents) have gotten into the biz as well. My Godfather can be seen singing in a SaveMart commercial, and my Godmother has appeared on billboards and on the cover of Oakland magazine! I’m so proud.

It’s nice to be back home. Things have been busy as usual. Speaking of which, I’d better get back to my lines. I have an audition tomorrow. Wish me luck! I’ll write more soon.

  2. Unfortunatly, poverty is still everywhere. Maybe one day we can eliminate it all together(this reminded me of an awful irony moment).those are some cool looking butterflies in that picture. Good luck with your audition jeanne. :)

  3. Thank you Robert! If we all do what we can to ease pain and suffering, we can overcome it. Have a great day!
